"We're going to enjoy it and we're going to try to win. We're going to try and win the cup final and then win as many league games as we can", he told Luton's official website.
He has issued a rallying call to who he described as the "best fans in the country" and said that the team that can handle the tension will come out on top.
"They're a good team Scunthorpe with a very good manager and a great work ethic. They've got a fantastic centre forward who's on fire at the moment," he said.
"Scunthorpe haven't got to where they are just because of Hooper and Hayes, obviously they've made a big contribution, but I know Nigel very well, he'll have a good spirit and a good togetherness and he'll have his team fired up for the occasion"
