Morris a late sub in Ireland defeat

Last updated : 06 February 2008 By Matt Blanchard
The hosts broke the Republic's resistance on the hour mark when Stephen O'Halloran turned James Milner's cross into his own net.

Milner was influential for England and he drilled in a low drive from 25 yards for the second, before Theo Walcott sealed the win with a delightful clipped finish.

Scunthorpe's Morris replaced Quinn with seven minutes to go.
