Murphy on call for Ireland

Republic boss Steve Staunton has named Shay Given, Colin Doyle and Nick Colgan in his squad for the games later this month - but Murphy has been told he is on standby in the event of injury to any of the three.

Dublin-born Murphy has earned two caps for the Irish national team.
