The 37-year-old shotstopper believes the gap between League's One and Two isn't that large.

Musselwhite told FourFourTwo magazine: "There's a bit of a jump, but Hull went up again this season with almost the same team as before, so there are no fears."

The ex-Hull City and Port Vale mans was in superb form last season and believes the club's fine November run and the 21 clean sheets kept on the way to promotion, did the trick.

He said: "We got off to a good start, then won eight games in a row in November, putting us seven points clear.

"That proved vital when Yeovil and Southend went on very good runs, because we'd done enough in the first half of the season to see us home.

"We finished strongly - two wins and two draws - but it's not just down to the back four: we defended well throughout the team."
