United are the only club in the bottom two leagues to use ProZone, which uses the latest technology to bring all sorts of statistics and data to managers as they assess their side's own performance and the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.

The Iron have started life in League One superbly and currently sit second, and a greater cutting edge to his side's play has reaped the awards, particularly in the last few matches.

The Iron have netted seven goals in the last two away games, and manager Brian Laws believes the technological appraoch has worked wonders for his side.

He told the League Manager Association's website: “It’s about making sure we get things right on the pitch, so with the help of Pro-zone, which we used last year to help us recognise weaknesses and strengths of opposition, this season we’re now using it more extensively.

"The players are excited with it, we’ve changed our format and now I feel we’re a better attacking team."
