New deal offered to Williams

The 19-year-old signed his first professional deal in the summer after coming through the youth ranks at the club.

But following an injury to first choice left-back Lee Ridley he found himself thrust into the first team.

After an impressive run of performances, which means Ridley may struggle to get his place in the side back, he will be offered improved terms.

Iron boss Brian Laws told BBC Radio Humberside: "We're now sitting down and talking with him about an improvement to his contract.

"I think he's shown maturity and that he's capable of doing the job.

"We want to reward our players when we can."
