The Foxes are looking for their third boss of the season after Gary Megson walked out on them just six weeks after being appointed to take charge of Premier League strugglers Bolton Wanderers.

The Sun claim Adkins is on Leicester's shortlist, but Wharton has insisted to the Scunthorpe Telegraph that there has been no contact with the midlands club.
