The 30-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Os on loan in March, helping guide them to promotion from League Two at Oxford United on Saturday.

Corden's Scunthorpe contract is set to expire this summer and he is tipped to be released by boss Brian Laws.

But he shouldn't be out of work for too long as O's boss Martin Ling has confirmed he is very interested in sealing Corden on a permanent basis.

"Wayne has done really well," said Ling.

"I don't think we lost a single game with him in the team. I certainly intend to speak with him about the possibility of signing him."

The left winger has made 13 starts since joining the Iron in February last year, but since joining Orient, Corden has scored twice in eight appearances.
