Pay per view hits official website

That is how the club sell the `Ironworld` on their official site, presumably no longer called Ironworld. A new subscription service due to be launched later today, but actually up yesterday.

Although it promises to be a good service - surely actually going into the dressing rooms before the match (as Iron-Bru.net has done on a number of occasions) is getting closer than listening to some interviews edited and always putting across the club's point of view?

We are told that Tony Shephardson (formerly of BBC Radio Humberside) will be providing the audio clips, it also promises reserve and youth updates as well as latest news.

This does make you wonder what will happen to those of us who either can't afford to subscribe, or simply would not gain the benefits. Also, we question the news quality from a site which currently tells us we play Grantham Town on the 1st July, and until today was saying that the match was due to take place last night at Glanford Park (it didn't).

For your money you get the live commentary, available free on Radio Humberside locally but not anywhere else on the internet, as well as exclusive Audio interviews and bulletons, goal highlights. And wait for it, a searchable video archive (presumably of Iron clips.)

For some it is undoubtedly a great option for some, and if you feel you need this service (and it does help the club, as well as NTL) then follow the banner below to subscribe.

But remember, Iron-Bru.net will be here all season long providing our usual up to the minute news and opinion - independent news and opinion.
