Pools plan second string

League One Pools lost 2-1 to Luton on Saturday, and Wilson has made it clear that the league takes priority for him.

"The great thing is that we have the players available that means we can shuffle the pack," he said.

"It was a real hard slog for the lads on Saturday so it depends on how much it has taken out of them.

"It is going to be a long, hard season and the squad is not just about the XI who started on Saturday, far from it."

United are likely to give Kelly Youga his competitive debut, as the on-loan defender was ineligible to play against parent club Charlton on Saturday.

Midfielder Ian Morris (knee) is the only absentee for the Iron, with manager Nigel Adkins also likely to give a run-out to members of his squad who weren't involved at The Valley.
