Laws told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "We are trying to speed up Jim's recovery too but both him and Lee will need to work extra hard in training because they missed most of our pre-season work with their injuries.
"After that we just have to be patient with them and try not to rush them into doing too much, too soon."
Full back Ridley will be hoping to play in next Wednesday's reserve game with Lincoln, whilst midfielder Goodwin will have to wait a little bit longer for his comeback.
