The club had feared he could be out for up to six weeks, but with an X-ray showing now break it is hoped he could be back much sooner.
Ridley said: "It is still sore but it has eased up a little bit from when I first did it.
"It is difficult to say when I will be back but I have improved a lot from Tuesday ngiht and if I keep progressing like that then it definately won't be six weeks."
