Rankine
Rankine was halfway through his second month on loan at his former club, but due to injuries he has been recalled and could be in line for a place on the bench against Tranmere on Friday night should virus victim Tommy Johnson still be missing.

The 20-year-old scored a last-minute winner on his debut at Bury last season, and has since made twenty substitute appearances and two starts - one of those coming in United's memorable FA Cup tie with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in January.

He has yet to make an appearance this season, but he returns to Glanford Park due to injuries to Johnson and long-term absentee Steve Torpey.

Rankine will be unavailable for the FA Cup First Round on November 5 though as he has already appeared in the prelimanary rounds for Barrow this season.
