Sharp eyes another Forest scalp

Tuesday night's LDV Vans Trophy Second Round win at Halifax Town did much to increase confidence at Glanford Park and 16-goal top scorer Sharp is sure his side can see off a Forest team that sits just outside the play-off zone.
United's last league win came on October 29 when the Iron beat Oldham Athletic 4-2 and the forward is sure United can claim a long overdue league win.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "We have definitely got more confidence after getting a win.

"We will go into the game knowing we beat them last time, and we can beat them again.

"I made my debut for Scunthorpe against Forest, and I managed to get a goal.

"I feel like I can score in every game. Hopefully on Friday I can score again."

United will welcome back captain Andy Crosby, after he missed the LDV Vans Trophy win at Halifax through suspension.

Andy Butler should be fit despite injuring his hamstring at the Shay, and is likely to line up alongside Crosby.

Peter Beagrie is also in contention for a return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench against Halifax.
