Shots boss warns Iron

The Iron travel to the Rec looking to secure their place in Sunday's Third Round draw and the hope of a money-spinning tie against a Premiership side.

Brian Laws' side have just lost three league games on the bounce and are tested by injuries and suspension as Jim Goodwin, Richard Hinds (both suspended) and Nathan Stanton are all missing - something Shots boss Brown is looking to play on.

"The timing of the game is crucial," Brown told BBC Sport. "Had it been played a month ago they would have probably spanked us.

"We did not have a settled side and it was a matter of getting all our senior players back from injury.

"But now they are having a bit of a dip and we go into the fixture, which is at home, full of confidence."
