Stanton and Ryan are Iron doubts

Stanton
Right-back Stanton had a sore hamstring after Friday's win over Southend, but boss Brian Laws is planning on him being fit for the trip to Victoria Park.

He told BBC Radio Humberside: "Stanton's hamstring was a bit tight.

"He's just come back from a long injury so is going to find that, but hopefully it's going to be okay."

Midfielder Ryan suffered a knock to his back, but is also expected to be fit.

Laws is expecting a tough game in the north east, but reckons that Hartelpool's success since their promotion from Division Three is something the Iron are capable of emulating.

He added: "It's gonna be very tough, we've always had good games against them and let's hope it is another one

"We've got to look at the way they've stuctured themselves into this division.

"They're the same size of club as us, now they're established and everyone looks at them as a top 10 team."
