One of the club-run coaches collided with a Peugeot car on its way back from Prenton Park, with police forced to close two lanes of the motorway to allow fans to exit the coach via emergency exits as the front of the coach was badly damaged.
All indications are that no-one was hurt, either on the coach or in the car.
