2 Theo Robinson fires a shot wide to the right, as Derby start brightly.

18 Frankie Fielding, the Derby keeper, collects a cross from Kennedy. It is the first time the Iron have made their presence felt in the final third, after the home side had enjoyed all the early pressure.

29 Richard Keogh, not greatly challenged by David Mirfin, heads in a header from a Michael Jacobs cross to put the Rams 1-0 up.

32 An Andy Barcham effort is blocked by Keogh, as the visitors try to get back into the game.

33 Jake Buxton brushes Kennedy aside and makes it 2-0 to Derby with a header from a Jacobs free-kick.

35 Bobby Grant forces Fielding into a save, but the home side are still cruising.

39 Jacobs sets up another goal, with Theo Robinson turning the ball home from six yards to put the Rams three goals up and in total control of the game,

45 The Rams hold a three-goal advantage at half-time, and could have had more thanks to late efforts from Paul Coutts, Robinson and John Brayford. Alan Knill uses his half-time teamtalk to tell the players to go out and try to win the second-half.

46 Robinson spurns the chance to put Derby 4-0 up when he heads wide from deep inside the penalty area. Moments later, Nathan Tyson shoots wide.

52 Andy Barcham gives the Iron hope by running into the area from the left, beating two defenders, and slotting the ball into the bottom right corner to reduce the deficit.

53 Derby quickly restore the lead to three goals, with Buxton scoring his second of the match by heading in from a Jacobs free-kick. The maxim about being at your most vulnerable after scoring proves too, as Newey gves away a soft free-kick for a foul on Nathan Tyson.

62 Mike Grella pulls another one back to make it 4-2, with a powerful low shot into the bottom left of the goal.

71 David Mirfin fells Keogh in the area and the referee confidently points to the spot. Robinson has the opportunity to make it 5-2, but the Iron keeper Sam Slocombe saves it brilliantly by diving to his left to keep the Iron in the game.

72 Twenty-four seconds after Slocombe's save, Bobby Grant scores for the Iron. He heads the ball into the top left corner from a Mark Duffy cross, and suddenly the visitors are right back in the tie.

82 Surely it is all over as Tyson heads home from a Coutts cross to make it 5-3.

90 The referee signals four minutes of stoppage-time, but the Iron need two goals to take the tie beyond that.

+4.07 A Mark Duffy shot is saved by Fielding, it drops nicely for two waiting Iron players and Connor Jennings, on as a substitute, pings the ball in to make it 5-4.

+5.28 The Rams are desperately holding on. Christian Ribeiro's cross is repelled by Jacobs for the loss of a corner. The ball in is punched clear by Jake Buxton, but Jacobs has fouled Mirfin and the Iron have one final chance to take the tie into extra-time.

+6.39 Grant blasts the ball home, low and right, to level the tie at 5-5

92 The players regroup after the final whistle. Chrstian Ribeiro misses an early effort which would have put the Iron into a 6-5 lead.

120 Chances are few and far between, with long-range efforts from Tyson and Grant going wide in the first half of extra-time. Mason Bennett misses to the left of Slocombe's goal in the best effort of the second-half.

PENALTY SHOOTOUT

0-0 Grella steps up first for the Iron, but his right-footed effort low to his left is saved by Fielding.

0-0 Slocombe ensures the Iron remain on level pegging, diving to his left to keep out Ben Davis' shot.

0-1 Kennedy sends the home keeper the wrong way to put the Iron ahead.

1-1 Tyson levels for the Rams. Slocombe goes the right way, diving to his right, and gets a hand to it but it bounces up and in.

1-2 Walker converts into the bottom left corner.

1-2 Slocombe gives the advantage to the Iron by saving John Brayford's effort.

1-2 But Mark Duffy cannot build on the lead as his effort comes crashing back off a post.

2-2 Keogh blasts the ball to Slocombe's right, unfortunately the Iron keeper is diving the other way.

2-3 Grant calmly slots home his second penalty of the night.

3-3 Robinson missed a penalty in normal time, but puts the ball into a top corner with Slocombe going the wrong way to set up sudden death.

3-4 Newey steps up and smashes the ball straight down the middle.

4-4 But Jacobs steps up to keep the shootout going

4-5 Ryan shoots to his right, as Fielding dives the other way.

5-5 Coutts sends Sloombe the wrong way.

5-6 Mirfin looks unruffled as he keeps the Iron ahead.

6-6 Buxton hits the ball straight down the middle, as Slocombe dives to his right.

6-7 Jennings side-foots the ball into the bottom right corne

6-7 Tom Naylor's effort hits the crossbar and bounces down into the grateful hands of Slocombe, as the Iron seal a remarkable comeback.
