"I'm still very confident that we will make it," he said today.

"We're the chasing group and now the pressures on the chasing teams ahead of us."

"If we win, Shrewsbury and Rushden have got to win their games, and if they don't then we take up their place, end of story.

"So the pressure is really on them, but we have got to make sure that pressure's enough so that they hear that Scunthorpe are winning."

Victory for Scunthorpe tomorrow, coupled with any two of Rushden And Diamonds, Shrewsbury Town or Hartlepool United would see the Iron back in the playoffs.

Fans seem undecided on the chances tomorrow, with four and a half hours left ov voting just over half of the respondents in our poll feel that we will get back into the playoffs.

Though of course, that still leaves around half who think we'll fall short again.

Tomorrow is a vital day, we need a win and for the supporters to get behind the side. Back the troops tomorrow, and don't forget it's Garcia Day. It could be his last game for the club, let's make sure he knows what he means to us.
