Timlin gets treatment at Fulham

Timlin is at loan at Scunthorpe from the Cottagers, and went over on his ankle before Friday night's 3-0 defeat at Southend.

The left-winger came off the bench to make his debut in that loss, but his Iron career may be limited to 12 minutes of first-team action as he is unlikely to be fit before the end of his initial loan period.

He was signed as a replacement for the injured Peter Beagrie, but with the veteran winger himself back in action as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Hartlepool Timlin may be deemed surplus to requirements in North Lincolnshire.

Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws told the club's website: "We strapped him up and he thought he would be all right.

"But when he took the strapping off at the end of the game, his ankle came up like a balloon."
