Torpedo back for Donny trip

Torpey missed Saturday's defeat at Yeovil Town with a hamstring injury, but will return to action as United look to bounce back at Belle Vue.

He will partner Steve MacLean, whose loan spell with the club from Scottish giants Rangers was today extended until the end of the season.

The injury problems which have dogged the club's recent games seem to be finally clearing up, with defenders Mark Jackson and Nathan Stanon both set to keep their places after making surprise starts at Huish Park.

Presuming that the illness suffered by centre-back Cliff Byrne on Saturday was nothing more than exhaustion Iron manager Brian Laws will have the relative luxury of five fit defenders to choose his back four from.

Peter Beagrie also had to be withdrawn half way through Saturday's match, but looks set to keep his place in an unchanged midfield.
