Torps suffers recovery setback

Torps tore a muscle in his thigh in the home game against Exeter City two months ago, and although the tear is now two inches long rather than twelve he has had to accept that he will not be able to return to action until pre-season.

He said: "I had thought I would be back before the end of the season but now I really don't think I will.

"The specialist told me (that) I would do well to play again this season when I first sustained the injury but at the time it seemed to be healing quickly, the latest scan has set me back a bit.

"Watching the games from the stands as hard, especially at this important time of the season. Every game is vital and all I can do is wish the lads good luck."
