Two defensive changes for Lincoln visit

Dawson was suspended for last week's victory in the Humber derby, but will return to the left-back position.

Jamie McCombe meanwhile will be elevated from the bench to replace Cliff Byrne who has now returned to Sunderland after deciding not to make his loan move pernament yet.

United have no new injury problems, and Paul Hayes now knows that he will be asked to lead the line alongside Martin Carruthers until the end of the season.

The Imps have good away form, recently recording a 1-0 win over the Mudrats at their new stadium.

Lincoln are renowned for their direct long-ball game, but Iron manager Brian Laws believes this will make it a tougher game than last weeks derby.

He told the official site: "We are going to have to box clever and make sure we do not concede from set plays and I think if we can do that then it will certainly nullify Lincoln because I can't see them causing us too many problems in open play.

"The best line of defence is to attack and that is our plan, to get at them and make sure they don't get corners and free kicks around our box."
