United have kept nine clean sheets in their last ten games, something Laws is particularly proud of.

Laws told the club's official site: "We will need a solid base to build on in League One, so long may that continue.

"Andy Crosby and Richard Hinds were superb and we will need them to be just as strong once the real games start.

"The game was another good work out for us, and that is two tough games we have had over here. Limerick and Cobh have already played 24 League games and they are fully match fit."

Laws also revealed that Irish trialist John McGrath didn't do enough in the game to earn a longer-term deal.

He added: "Hdid okay, but he wasn't better than what we already have at the club so we will not pursue the matter any further."
