United predict record season ticket sales

League One football will grace Glanford Park next season and sales are expected to beat the 1,100 tickets sold last year as fans eagerly guarantee their place at all the big games.

It could be the third season running in which sales are broken, something club officials are delighted with.

Assistant Club Secretary David Beeby said: "Sales have steadily increased as we approach the June 30 deadline, and the ticket office is expected to be very busy for the rest of the week.

"We are already very close to breaking last season's record, and I'm sure that figure will be beaten before close of business on Thursday."
