United report there is no frost on the pitch and all snow that landed over the Christmas period has been cleared. No pitch inspection is planned.
Season ticket holders should use voucher 12 for the game, voucher 11 will be used for the rescheduled visit of Ipswich Town that was postponed before Christmas due to a frozen pitch.
The Championship games between Doncaster Rovers and Leicester City, as well as Blackpool and Sheffied Wednesday were postponed due to frozen pitcedh.
"This is a loss to us, we took so many positives from the Newcastle game [Saturday's 2-2 draw] and wanted to get straight back out there and play," said Sean McAuley, Wednesday's caretaker manager.
"The players were prepared but these things happen. The ground was very hard and surrounding areas looked quite treacherous in parts after freezing conditions overnight."
The League One match between Hartlepool United and Oldham Athletic as called off. Three League Two games were off: Chesterfield v Rotherham United, Darlington v Lincoln City and Hereford United v Aldershot Town.
