What can happen this weekend?

IF UNITED WIN

Three points guarantees Scunthorpe promotion to the Championship, regardless of results elsewhere. If Bristol City lose at home to Yeovil then the Iron would be nine points clear with a maximum of nine points to play for, with goal difference the title would effectively - but not mathmetically - be won.

IF UNITED DRAW

Scunthorpe will be promoted if Nottingham Forest, Blackpool and Yeovil all fail to win.

IF UNITED LOSE

Scunthorpe can still be promoted following a defeat, but only if Nottingham Forest lose, and Blackpool and Yeovil both fail to win.

ELSEWHERE IN LEAGUE ONE
Bristol City will confirm a play-off finish if they match the results of Swansea and Carlisle. Nottingham Forest can also seal a top six finish, if they win at Brentford, and Swansea and Carlisle both drop points.

Brentford have already been relegated to League Two. Rotherham will be relegated if they lose, in tandem with Leyton Orient and Cheltenham avoiding defeat against Doncaster and Oldham respectively.

CHAMPIONSHIP
Sunderland are already guaranteed a play-off spot, Derby will also confirm a top six finish if they beat Ipswich at Portman Road. Birmingham could do the same if they beat Southampton and Stoke and Colchester drop points.

Luton could be relegated if they lose at Plymouth, though this is dependent on Hull and Barnsley both winning.

LEAGUE TWO
A point at Wycombe will send Hartlepool into League One, they will be promoted regardless if MK Dons fail to beat Darlington. If Walsall match the Dons' result they will also go up.

Torquay will be relegated to the Conference if they fail to pick up all three points from the visit of Peterborough, though even a drop could still see them drop a division if results elsewhere go against them.
