Williams to return for second string

If Williams comes through unscathed he will be  be pushing for a start against Colchester at Glanford Park on Saturday with Joseph Mills, who has been excellent in the left back berth, struggling with injury.

"Marcus is a key player for us and we will monitor how he goes," said the Iron  manager Nigel Adkins.

Adkins  is looking to extend the loans of Liam Trotter and Mills until the end of the season, and aims to keep Trotter permanently beyond this campaign.

Mills returned to Glanford Park today for treatment on an Achilles injury.
