The Blades were beaten 1-0 at rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Sunday.
Although they remain second in the League One table, the result kept them in the play-off mix when victory would have opened up a seven-point gap to third place.
“We’re bitterly disappointed but we’re still in a very strong position,” said Wilson.
“We’ve got a tough match coming up against Scunthorpe on Wednesday night and we’ve got to try and get back to winning ways now.
“Sheffield derbies are special days. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic and they’re games you want to be involved in.”
