Arsenal, who were runners-up last season and winners a year earlier when the fina was also held in North Lincolnshire, will take on Doncaster Rovers Belles.

It will be the first time the Belles have been in the final since 1996. They are managed by the former Scuntorpe player John Buckley.

Jamie Hammond, United's general manager, said the game will help encourage local girls to play football.

"We are delighted to hold this event a Glanford Park, we hope it will raise the profile of women's football in the local community," he said.

"The game will also offer us the opportunity to develop our links with grls and women's clubs within the community."

The match will see several of the biggest names in English women's football in action - including the England captain Faye White and Kelly Smith, who was shortlisted for the Fifa player of the year award. Both play for Arsenal.
