Burnley sack manager Cotterill

The former Cheltenham and Stoke boss has been in charge at the Clarets since June 2004, and leaves with the Lancashire side 15th in the Championship table.

A club statement read: "Burnley Football Club would like to place on record their thanks to Steve for his hard work and commitment to the club since he took the role in June 2004. There will be no further comment at this time."
