The top five teams are level on seven points, with Coventry City losing the only 100 per cent record in the division as they were held to a goalless draw at Doncaster Rovers.

Middlesbrough's 2-0 win at Glanford Park was enough to claim second spot.
West Bromwich Albion were 3-2 victors at Peterborough United, while Bristol City's 1-0 home win over Queens Park Rangers.

Preston North End's 3-0 win at Barnsley sees them top the teams on five points, ahead of Sheffield United and Leicester City who played out a 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane.

Watford recorded their first victory of the season with a 4-2 victory at Nottingham Forest, while Crystal Palace bounced back from their weekend loss at Bristol City to beat Ipswich Town 3-1 at Portman Road.

Neither Blackpool or Derby County could find a breakhrough at Bloomfield Road, neither could Swansea City or Reading at the Liberty Stadium.
