The 23-year-old fell out with Stags manager Carlton Palmer last season, and has now signed a two-year deal with the Spireites.

"There was plenty of competition from other clubs for his signature," boss Roy McFarland said.

"He is another important part of the jigsaw as we look to enhance the team with more quality players."
