Boston United 1-0 Bury (attendance: 2,260)
After Ben Thornley cleared off the line, Peter Duffield got to the ball as it came back into the box and poked past Paul Bastock. His effort was enough for the win, which is only Boston's second of the season.

Cheltenham Town 0-3 Cambridge United (attendance: 3,728)
Dave Kitson scored 15 minutes either side of half time, and Lloyd Opara made it 3-0 in the closing stages to deny Cheltenham extending their six-match unbeaten run.

Doncaster Rovers 2-0 Oxford United (attendance: 5,040)
Oxford drop out of the top 3 for the first time this season after defeat at Belle Vue. Tim Ryan gave Doncaster the lead 6 minutes before half time, and Oxford had no way back when Julian Alsop was sent off for the second time this season just after the break. Paul Green sealed the 3 points 7 minutes from time with a half-volley from the edge of the area.

Kidderminster Harriers 1-2 Lincoln City (attendance: 2,462)
Lloyd Dyer's run ended with a goal for Kidderminster after 11 minutes, but Marcus Richardson (32) equalised with a superb overhead kick. Richard Butcher then put Lincoln in the driving seat with a high header just before half time, and it was enough to give the Imps their first win of the season.

Leyton Orient 1-1 Scunthorpe United (attendance: 3,663)
A minute before half time, Richard Kell put the visitors in front with a low shot from just outside the area. Orient were awarded a penalty when Nathan Stanton was controversially adjudged to have handled, and Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws was sent from the dugout for taking his protest too far. As it was, Sam Russell saved Billy Jones' penalty, but Orient found an equaliser in stoppage time thanks to Jabo Ibehre's fierce shot.

Mansfield Town 0-1 Yeovil Town (attendance: 5,270)
The ball deflected around the Mansfield box before Kirk Jackson (42) tapped in. That goal was enough to secure Yeovil's fourth successive win which takes them up to 3rd.

Northampton Town 0-0 Macclesfield Town (attendance: 4,332)
Macclesfield are still without a win on their travels, and had goalkeeper Boaz Myhill to thank for earning them a point. He made numerous saves to prevent Northampton moving into the top seven, while the Silkmen sit precariously just above the relegation zone.

Rochdale 0-2 Hull City (attendance: 4,215)
Both teams struggled to make the most of their chances until midfielder Stuart Green headed the Tigers in front after 63 minutes. Ben Burgess then followed his goal in midweek to make it 2-0 3 minutes later and move City up to 2nd in the table.

Southend United 2-2 Carlisle United (attendance: 4,620)
Southend threw away two points as Carlisle fought back for a draw. David McSweeney opened the scoring from distance after 22 minutes, and seconds later Leon Constantine doubled the Shrimpers' lead. Kevin Henderson gave Carlisle hope by pulling one back after half time, and Matt Glennon saved Kevin Maher's penalty to keep the visitors in the game. Richie Foran popped up 11 minutes from time to get the equaliser, and caretaker boss Paul Simpson has subsequently been offered the manager's job on a permanent basis.

Swansea City 2-0 Huddersfield Town (attendance: 8,048)
Swansea stay top as Lee Trundle got his 9th goal of the season in the 33rd minute. Town defender Paul Scott was sent off just after half time, and Kevin Nugent wrapped up the win late on when he beat goalkeeper Ian Gray to a cross before tapping in. Huddersfield were then reduced to 9 men in the closing stages when Ian Hughes lashed out.

Torquay United 2-2 Darlington (attendance: 2,420)
Steve Woods looked to have got Torquay off to a good start with a goal on 11 minutes, but Craig Liddle restored parity with a header just a minute later. David Graham put United back in front before half time with his 6th of the season, but Darlington equalised again through substitute Ian Clark (73). Fellow substitute Danny Mellamby was sent off 3 minutes later for a late tackle, but the ten men from Darlington held on for a draw.

York City 2-1 Bristol Rovers (attendance: 3,968)
York were without a win from their last 4 games, but got off to the start they needed when Lee Bullock headed home a 14th minute corner. Junior Agogo equalised 7 minutes later, but the Minstermen were soon back in front. Aaron Wilford (33) got his head to a corner, and the man on the line could only slice into his own goal. Second half substitute Simon Bryant was sent off just 7 minutes after coming on for a two-footed challenge on York player-manager Chris Brass.

One game was played on Wednesday - here's what happened:

Boston United 1-2 Cambridge United (attendance: 2,452)
Luke Guttridge gave the visitors the lead minutes before half time, but Boston levelled just before the hour through Simon Weatherstone's goal from the edge of the area. The home side looked like they'd got a point from this game until Stevland Angus popped up with a winner for Cambridge a minute from time.
