The Gills had gone four League games without a win before the 2-1 success over the Seasiders.

Cooper said: "I saw how happy the players were in the dressing room, and I am pleased for them.

"We started brightly, then came their goal and you think 'here we go again'.

"But I changed it at half-time, and we played well in the second half - we created chances and turned things around. We just need to build on that."
