Iron fifth as Swansea stay top

Swansea hold on to the top spot thanks to a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at Dean Court.

Cult striker Lee Trundle got the only goal of the game, his ninth of the season, by following up a shot Cherries keeper Gareth Stewart could only parry.

The Swans are top on goal difference, but with Southend closing on them thanks to a 4-1 win over Yeovil.

Phil Jevons had put the Glovers ahead at Roots Hall, but Luke Guttridge and Wayne Gray put them ahead before former Iron target Freddy Eastwood came off the bench to score twice.

Danny Schofield scored three minutes from time to keep Huddersfield level with Swansea and Yeovil on points, his goal sealing a 1-0 win over Tranmere at the Galpharm Stadium.

Scunthorpe stay fifth despite their loss to MK Dons, who climb off the bottom spot.

Managerless Swindon replace them at the foot of the table thanks to their loss at Doncaster Rovers.

Blackpool looked set to come away from Nottingham Forest with a 1-0 win thanks to an early strike from Keigan Parker, but Ian Breckin rescued a point for the midlands side.

Marcus Stewart hit a brace as Bristol City pulled themsleves out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 win over Bradford.

Gillingham also exited the bottom four after their 1-0 win over Chesterfield.

Bradford drew 1-1 with Colchester at Valley Parade, while Hartlepool and Rotherham played out a goalless draw at Victoria Park.
