McParland doesn't want Forest job

McParland is in charge of the first team at the City Ground, along with former Scunthorpe boss Frank Barlow.

Since the pair replaced Gary Megson they have steered the side to a 2-0 win at Port Vale and headline-grabbing 7-1 success over Swindon Town.

But McParland, who was reserve team coach before being thrust into the limelight, said: "All I'm interested in is preparing the players for the next game and taking it from there. When a new manager comes along that's fine by me.

"Of course we were pleased with what happened in this match. We made the perfect start with a goal after two minutes and that gave us the confidence to push on and do well.

"But we must remember results like this (the 7-1 win over Swindon) come along once in a blue moon, it will worry me if people think we can do this every time we go on the pitch.
