Millwall's delight at felling Forest

Harris' three-year spell at the City Ground was plagued by injuries, but he made his mark with the only goal at the New Den.

The 29-year-old managed just one strike for Forest before returning to the Lions this January, and he showed Forest fans what they missed when he headed home after 53 minutes.

"Neil deserved the goal as he worked incredibly hard," said Donachie.

"He has been up for this game all week as they are his former club and every player wants to get one over their old side.

"When I took over as manager Neil was a bit low on confidence but now he seems to be getting back to his best."

Forest's defeat leaves them six points behind second-placed Bristol City and a whopping 11 behind table-topping Scunthorpe United.

Time is running out for Forest, with just five games to play, but their boss Colin Calderwood is refusing to resign himself to the lottery of the promotion play-offs.

"We've still got a chance of automatic promotion but we've got to narrow the gap on Bristol by winning the next game," he said.

"It was a tough game, a really hard fought contest and we've got to take our hats off to Millwall because they were the better team.

"The defensive mistake we made has been repeated away from home throughout the season, and if we can cut that out I think we'll go up."
