Newcastle defenders on way out

Centre-half Bassong, 23, has joined the north London club on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.

Spurs are believed to have paid in the region of £8millon for a player who spent just one season with the Magpies.

The former Metz defender played in 34 games for Newcastle last season as they suffered relegation to the Championship and was named as the club's player of the year.

Beye was expected to discuss personal terms with Hull, but completed a move to Villa instead.

The 31-year-old right-back previously captained Marseille and has won 35 international caps for Senegal.

Ipswich Town
have completed the signing of Hungary striker Tamas Priskin for an undisclosed fee from Watford.

The 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Tractor Boys, having scored 19 goals in 83 appearances in his three seasons at Vicarage Road.

Blackpool have completed the signings of Oldham Athletic defender Neal Eardley and former Walsall winger Ishmel Demontagnac.

Wales international Eardley, 20, joins for an undisclosed fee, having signed an initial two-year contract with the Seasiders.

Demontagnac, 21, has penned a one-year deal after impressing while on trial at Bloomfield Road.

Leicester City have completed the signing of Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn on loan until January.

Barnsley have agreed a deal to sign the midfielder Emil Hallfredsson on a season-long loan from Italian side Reggina.
