Written by Luke Thornhill
Saturday, 10th February 2007
Oldham Athletic moved back to the top of League One on Saturday, while Darren Anderton rolled back the years to hit a hat-trick for Bournemouth.
The Latics' 1-0 success - thanks to a first-half goal from Paul Warne - moves them above the Iron on goal difference, with Scunthorpe dropping to second after their game at Crewe Alexandra was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Julien Bennett earned Nottingham Forest a 1-0 win over Northampton, which moved Forest upto third.

Yeovil's 4-1 success at Carlisle United saw them climb to fourth, while Bristol City drop to fifth after being held 1-1 by Huddersfield at Ashton Gate.

The Robins needed an 88th minute goal from Lee Johnson to earn them a point after Gary Taylor-Fletcher had put the visitors ahead, home goalkeeper Adriano Basso was sent off after 65 minutes and faces an automatic ban.

Former England midfielder Anderton hit three goals for Bournemouth in their 5-0 drubbing of Leyton Orient in a relegation six-pointer at Dean Court.

Wilson and James Hayter also netted for the Cherries, who climb out of the drop zone thanks to the win

Jo Kuffour gave Brentford hope of staying up as his strike earned a 1-0 victory over Brighton at Griffin Park.

Millwall climbed further away from the drop zone by beating Chesterfield 2-1.

Gillingham also won by a single goal, with Damien Johnson sealing a 1-0 home succcess over Bradford.

Scunthorpe v Crewe, Port Vale v Cheltenham and Rotherham v Blackpool were all postponed.
