Oldham rule out goalkeeper swoop

Ronnie Moore's side had agreed a three-month deal for the 20-year-old, but Boro were unwilling to include clauses regarding a possible extension, and also did not want Turnbull to play in cup competitions.

Moore has now decided against the move and wants instead to find a goalkeeper who can play the full season at Boundary Park.

Moore has also decided against keeping trialist Andy Todd. The 26-year-old former Nottingham Forest midfielder is now expected to find a club in the Conference.
