"We have been working towards making Brisbane Road a four-sided ground for a long time, so I am very pleased that it will become a reality for the start of next season," said Os chairman Barry Hearn.
"We are also delighted that the council have shared our vision by accepting this chance to regenerate the area around the stadium.
"This development will help to take the club forward both on and off the field."
