Boss Martin Allen said: "Lloyd has an excellent goalscoring ratio to games played, an area that's been an obvious concern to me, and needed to be improved.
"I am well aware he was popular here before but I'm afraid that is of no interest to me. I am taking him because of what he can do and not what he has done. He will definitely be an asset to us."
