Poyet wants Swansea job

Poyet, 41, has been out of work since leaving Tottenham Hotspur's coaching staff in October when Harry Redknapp took charge at White Hart Lane.

The Uruguayan was interviewed for the Watford job that was given to Malky Mackay, and feels he is ready for his first move into management after being assistant to Dennis Wise at Swindon Town and Leeds United.

"I would really be interested in the job, I would really like to go there, it would be a great opportunity," he told BBC Sport Wales.

Swansea are looking for a new manager after Roberto Martinez left to take charge at the Premier League side Wigan Athletic.

Peterborough United have wrapped up the signing of Hereford United midfielder Toumani Diagouraga for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old holding player is rumoured to have cost the Posh around £400,000, having decided to leave Edgar Street following the Bulls' relegation back to League Two.

The Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate has restructured his backroom staff, with Malcolm Crosby leaving his position as asssitant.

Nottingham Forest have also made changes to their coaching staff, with the reserve team coach John Pemberton and fitness coach Ryland Morgans exiting the City Ground.
