Richardson hopes of Chesterfield comeback scuppered

The 36-year-old was due to turn out for former side Aberdeen in the Scottish Masters on Sunday but will miss out after sustaining a cartilage tear during
a recent five-a-side practice game.

A specialist has recommended a quick operation to rectify the problem but
after over 50 appearances for the Blues he may well be forced to call an end
to his playing days.
