Rushden offered to fans

The club was formed in 1992 by Griggs when he merged Rushden Town and Irthlingborough Diamonds, and hos been owned by the Griggs Group ever since.

Now they are willing to give the club to the recently-formed Trust, plus a £500,000 cash sum for next season along with £250,000 towards the following camapign.

They will be given Nene Park as well as 22 acres of land, but the Griggs Group will continue to own the sports and exhibition centre of the Northamptonshire club.

But fans will still need to raise substantial further sums to meet running costs.
