The Swans lost to Doncaster at the weekend, despite takeing an early lead through Kevin McLeod.

It leaves them mid-table after four games - having won two and lost two.

''The game could have gone either way but having got into pole position I feel we let them off the hook,'' said Jackett.

''We were going well in the second half and seemed to be well in control.

''We were forced to make changes before the game but I believe that presents opportunities for other people and I never thought we had a patched-up side and before the game I was very positive.

''We are a very competitive side, we are very strong and not a million miles from the other teams in this division.''
