Left-back Goodison, 32, has made 65 appearances since arriving at Prenton
Park in 2004 and the signing of his new one-year deal will be a welcome relief to manager Brian Little.

Goodison¹s Jamaican team-mate Whitmore, also 32, scored five times in 38
outings in 2004-05 and has also agreed a 12-month extension to his current
agreement.

"The Jamaican lads have been outstanding," Little told the club¹s official website. "Theo is unique. He has something which you can't buy very easily.

"Ian Goodison always has a go and never lets us down.

"It was very important for me to keep hold of him and Theo for this season."

Despite numerous offers from other League One clubs midfielder Rankine, 35, has also agreed a one-year deal to stay at Prenton Park, while youngsters Joe Fowler and Paul Martin have signed their first professional
contracts.
