The former Mansfield midfield general hasn't played for almost a year, and manager Martin Scott is willing to let the 28-year-old go out on laon and gain match fitness.
Scott told said: "He needs games, it's as simple as that and they can give him that at Port Vale.
"He's part of my plans, and a big part of the club. This will help us get the real Darrell Clarke back, fit and raring to go for us."
