Walsall job not for Kinsella

A Steve Claridge goal sealed a 1-0 win over Gillingham on Saturday, but it was a case of too little too late for the already-relegated side.

Kinsella took over as caretaker boss when Kevan Broadhurst was sacked last week, to become their third manager of the season.

But the experienced defender does not want to take on the role on a permanent basis.

He said: "I was only told to do a job for two weeks which is what I intend to do.

"The chairman will want to bring in an experienced man. We need someone who knows the league we are going into and I am sure the ball is already rolling on that front.

"I will be coaching the reserves and youth team next season, and hope to be part of the set up still. Managing is definitely something I want to do but I'm only 33."
